When you take this class, choose which element your familiar can be augmented with.
Whenever you elementally augment your familiar, it will normally be augmented with that element.
You can try to augment your familiar with a different element when you summon it, but you must pass a DC 20 test of Spellcraft each time to change the element from what it normally is.
When you summon your familiar, you may choose to augment it with the chosen element instead of summoning it normally.
If you do, your familiar deals damage of the chosen element instead of physical damage, and resists the chosen element.
Your familiar also deals additional damage.
