(Changing an element usually requires passing a DC 20 test of Spellcraft, but you can try to force it with this ability without needing to pass the test of Spellcraft, or after failing a test of Spellcraft to change elements.)

deals an extra spell damage die of damage,
and gets +1 to its save DC and the DC to Counterspell or Dispel it.
