You must be dual wielding
Dual Wielding: Wielding one one handed weapon in each hand, not counting shields.
Any character may dual wield, but this class makes you much better at it.
Whenever a character that is dual wielding takes the attack action or makes an attack of opportunity, they can attack once with each wielded weapon, instead of only once with one weapon.
(Other attacks meant to work with dual wielding will specifically allow you to attack once with each dual wielded weapon).
BUT, normally, while a character is dual wielding, they have disadvantage on all rolls to hit with weapons.
You no longer suffer disadvantage on all rolls to hit with weapons by dual wielding.
Normally, a character may only dual wield two one handed weapons.
You are considered dual wielding while unarmed with both hands free and may use unarmed strikes to make dual wield attacks.
Normally, dual wielding a weapon which is neither Light nor Unarmed imposes a -5 penalty to hit with that weapon.
This penalty still applies to you. You may be rid of it by taking Dual Wielding Medium Weapons.
You still cannot dual wield weapons which require both hands (Heavy weapons).
Shields do not count as weapons for the purposes of dual wielding.
If you have a weapon and a shield equipped, you are not dual wielding.
Normally, each dual wielded weapon accrues half as much effort toward completing extended tests of skill with that weapon. Even with this course, that remains the same.
(Bonuses to attacks and spells from a weapon only apply to attacks or spells made using that weapon. If you are dual-wielding, each attack or spell normally only gets the bonuses from one weapon.)
