Extra Attack
Time:
Trigger
Trigger:
When an enemy comes within your wielded melee weapon’s reach
Cost:
1 stamina
Limit:
Once per round (upgrades to once per trigger)
When an enemy comes within your wielded melee weapon’s reach, you may attack them with that weapon before they can move any further.
You cannot do this against hidden creatures, though you may take a stab in the dark against creatures which are merely concealed.
A creature which teleports into your wielded melee weapon’s reach does not trigger this ability.
(This is not an attack of opportunity.)
This ability exploits a brief opening presented by one opponent. You cannot attack extra targets with this attack using Cleave, Circle of Blows, or Ground Pound. You can Skewer through them, though.
Dual Wield:
If you are dual wielding melee weapons, when an enemy enters the reach of both weapons,
you may attack them once with each weapon.
Dual Wielding Weapons of Different Lengths:
If one of your wielded weapons has a longer reach than the other, you must wait until the enemy comes within reach of both to attack with both.
If you use this ability to attack once with the longer of your two weapons when an enemy enters the longer weapon’s reach, then you cannot attack with both weapons using this ability for either the rest of this turn or until that enemy exits your reach, whichever happens first.
(If the enemy comes within 10 ft, you attack with your long weapon, then they come within 5 ft., you may attack them with your short weapon, but not both your long and short weapon. Using weapons of differing lengths should not net you extra attacks.)
