When an ally would be hit or fails a health (reflex) save, or you fail a health (reflex) save while wielding a shield

Once per short rest (upgrades to once per roll)
If you are adjacent to an ally that is being targeted by an ability,
or engaging an enemy that is targeting an ally with an ability,
or between an ally and the source of an ability targeting them,
give the roll to hit that ally with that ability disadvantage (after seeing the roll),
or make that ally take half damage instead of full damage if they fail their health (reflex) save against that ability.
Alternatively, if you are wielding a shield, you take half damage instead of full damage from a failed health (reflex) save against an ability.
(The caster is usually, but not always, the source of a spell.)
(This ability can replace full damage with half damage from a failed save. It does not stack with other abilities which do the same thing, like Reflexes or Power Through. It does stack with resistance.)

This ability moves you into position to Intercept an ability for an ally.
When an enemy uses an ability on an ally, you may move up to your speed to a space adjacent to that ally or enemy, or between them.
Once you use this ability, you cannot use it or another Interpose ability again until the start of your next turn.
