Intercept

Ability

Time:
Trigger
Trigger:
When an enemy uses an ability on an ally
Cost:
1 stamina
Limit:
Once per short rest (upgrades to once per roll)

Choose one:
Give a roll to hit an adjacent ally disadvantage.
Give an enemy engaged by you disadvantage on their roll to hit.
Give a roll to hit an ally disadvantage if you are between them and the source of the attack.
An adjacent ally takes half damage instead of full damage from a failed health (reflex) save.
An ally takes half damage instead of full damage from a failed health (reflex) save against an ability used by an enemy engaged by you.
An ally takes half damage instead of full damage from a failed health (reflex) save against an ability if you are between them and the origin point of that ability.
You take half damage instead of full damage from a failed health (reflex) save against an ability if you are wielding a shield.

You may do this after seeing the roll, and this ability may change the outcome.

The caster is not always the origin point for abilities which create enchanted areas which last.
(This ability can replace full damage with half damage from a failed save. It does not stack with other abilities which do the same thing, like Reflexes or Power Through. It does stack with resistance.)

Trigger
Trigger:
When an enemy uses an ability on an ally
Limit:
Once per round

This ability moves you into position to Intercept an ability for an ally.

You can only use this ability if you did not spend your move action during your last turn.

When an enemy uses an ability on an ally, you may move up to your speed to a space adjacent to that ally or enemy.
Once you use this ability, you cannot use it or another Interpose ability again until the start of your next turn.
