Beast Within

You shapeshift into an animal of medium or small size, or back into your normal form.

You get advantage on tests of survival.
At higher levels of mastery, you get additional perks.

While in beast form:
You may use your beast form to make an unarmed melee attack. By default, you have +0 to hit and deal 1 damage with this attack. (This is considered an unarmed melee weapon attack, not a spell attack).
You cannot normally use weapons, shields, or tools.
You may cast spells.
You may revert to your normal form as a fast action without paying this spell’s cost again.

You may choose to take on a different animal form each time you cast Beast Within.

If you are polymorphed into an animal against your will, you may cast this spell to transform into either your beast or normal form.

Gear:
When you transform into beast form, your gear and anything you were carrying melds into your new form. This does not affect its weight.
You get the bonuses and penalties from your equipped body armor and accessories in beast form.
While you are in beast form, you may cough up one melded item or gear as an action.
You get all your gear which was melded into beast form back when you transform back into your normal form.

You may also choose one of the following bonuses:
You are considered dual wielding while in beast form.
Or your beast form is considered a Heavy unarmed melee weapon.
Or you get the bonuses and penalties from your shield while in beast form,
and if you know Shield Bash, you deal +5 damage with attacks with beast form
(you cannot choose this option if your beast form is considered a heavy weapon somehow, such as from Heavy Fistwraps of Fury).

Subtle:
Casting this spell while hidden does not cause you to become unhidden.
