You fill an area with hazardous elemental energy, creating a zone of unsafe space which extends from the surface it is cast on to 5 ft. above.
Any creature which enters any unsafe space takes damage.
Any creature which starts its turn in any unsafe space takes damage.
A creature can only take damage from this spell once per round. Once a creature has taken damage from this spell, it does not take any more damage from it until the start of its next turn (You cannot push and pull them in and out of a space to make it deal damage faster).

If you create an unsafe space under a creature, or a creature is pushed, pulled, or dragged into an unsafe space, it takes damage immediately, if it has not already taken damage from this spell this round.

A creature can try to jump over an unsafe space, but if it fails it will take damage and land prone. If it lands in an unsafe space, at the start of its turn it will take damage again.

This enchantment does not overlap or stack.
You cannot cast this enchantment multiple times on the same space to increase the damage. Multiple different casters cannot cast this enchantment on the same space to increase the damage.
If one space is occupied by multiple unsafe spaces, only the strongest will have any effect.

When you cast this spell, you can try a DC 10 test of Spellcraft to reshape the spell’s area without making it larger.

As an action, you can try a DC 10 test of Spellcraft to move or adjust your unsafe area. You cannot move it more than 300 ft. from you.

Dissipate d8:
At the start of each of your turns, roll a d8. If you roll a 1, this spell ends.

You can end this spell as a fast action.

Suggested Backfire: The spaces heal creatures which stand on them, or the spell is cast on unintended targets.

Affinity:
When you take this class, choose which element your Unsafe Spaces are.
Whenever you cast this spell, it will normally be of that element.
You can try to cast this spell using a different element, but must pass a DC 20 test of Spellcraft each time to change the element from what it normally is.
