Target gets a health save against this curse.
Fail:
The target begins turning to stone.
The target gets another health save against this curse at the end of each of its turns. If it passes a health save against this curse before it fails three health saves against it, this curse ends.
The first failed health save against this spell immobilizes the target.
The second failed health save against this spell restrains the target.
The third failed health save against this spell petrifies the target for an hour.
This curse ends once the petrification expires.
Every time a creature petrified by this curse takes damage, it gets another save to end this curse.
Restrained:
You are immobilized.
You have disadvantage on rolls to hit.
You are off guard (rolls to hit you have advantage).
Petrified:
You are immobilized and disabled.
You are off guard (rolls to hit you have advantage).
You automatically fail health (reflex) saves.
You resist physical damage.
Pass:
Every 5 ft. the target moves costs an extra 5 ft. of movement until the end of its next turn.
Critical Fail:
A critical failure counts as three failed saves for this spell.
You can end this curse as a fast action.

Suggested Backfire: You cast Petrify on yourself.
If a target has multiple Petrify spells cast on them, their saves count toward the same effect.
