The target becomes enchanted with magical thorns.

The target deals physical or light damage to the offending creature whenever any creature damages them with non-ongoing damage, would damage them but the damage is negated, misses them with an attack, either in melee or at range, tries to grab them or try to keep them grabbed, or tries to push, pull, or trip them.
You can end this spell as a fast action.

No Scaling:
Thorns does not get any damage bonuses from anything.

Targets can only benefit from one Thorns at the same time.

Smart enemies may think better of attacking the target.
