A transparent polyhedron of magic surrounds the target.

The target gains resistance to one element.
(Physical, piercing, slashing, and blunt are not elements.)
You can end this spell as a fast action (if for some reason you want to).

Resistance to lightning from this spell also makes lightning abilities treat metal armor you wear as non-metal.
(Resistance to cold also protects against cold and keeps you warm.)
(Resistance to fire also protects against heat and keeps you cool.)
(Resistance to acid damage also applies to acid armor damage.)

Suggested Backfire: The shell gives the target a weakness to that element. This aberrant shell cannot be dismissed, but can be dispelled normally or by casting Arcane Shell on the target again.
